Ceramic Fiber Paper
CFI's ceramic fiber paper is constructed by forming a nonwoven matrix of alumino-silicate spun fibers. The randomly oriented ceramic fibers are held together by an organic binder system that quickly burns off. Ceramic fiber papers can easily be cut into lightweight, flexible sheets with uniform thickness and density. Excellent for use as refractory backup, fire protection, thermal insulation, and high-temperature gasket, separator, or parting agent.
CFI Bio-Soluble Boards
Bio-soluble board are made from body soluble fibers utilizing a unique spinning technology. These fibers are made from a blend of calcium, silica and magnesium and a small amount of organic binder. They are strong, light weight and thermal shock resistant.
Characteristics
- High strength:
- The strongest refractory materials among the inorganic thermal materials with similar density
- Heat resistance:
- Non-deformation within the working temperature range
- Thermal insulation:
- Lower thermal conductivity compared with other massive hard refractory materials
- Asbestos free
